OTHER: Datsun Suisse Press release folders 1982 & 1983

Lately two press release folders of Datsun / Nissan from the years 1982 and 1983 popped up for sale locally.
A long term project of mine is documenting the Story of Datsun Switzerland and another work in progress is the story of the Z / ZX in switzerland, so whenever something like this pops up, i try to get hands on it:

the sets usually contain a lot of information about the company’s history and sales figures, etc, but also a bunch of press release photos and of course advertizing texts for the latest models.

Usually they get released for big events like the annual Geneva Autosalon exhibition, where most carmakers used to show their latest cars to the public:

The 1983 Folder came with loads of information about the general car market situation in 1983, sales figures, Datsun Export figures to various markets, etc. Very interesting stuff for a geek like me:

The involved car models (Datsun cherry, etc) of the 80ies are not my main focus, but it’s interesting to read through those nevertheless

And most important, they all included press photos of the 280ZX and it’s Targa version. the 1983 Folder even came with a nice 1983 Full lineup brochure.
In case you’re wondering: 1983 is the year when Datsun Became Nissan (at least in our market). and the only year where you will find both names marketed at the same time.
Later the year all dealers got instructed to remove all Datsun branding and switch to Nissan only.

Still have to read through all the texts but this will be a nice read on a cozy winter evening.
