EVENT: GP-Event Oldtimer & Teilemarkt Winterthur

After testdriving the Accord yesterday i went to the GP-Event Oldtimer & Teilemarkt in Winterthur. I’ve never heard about the event before and stumbled upon it because during my research for a tank restorer i figured out a few would have a Display there. It’s less an oldtimer meeting and more a trade-show for different business into oldtimers and companies selling all kind of old parts and memorabilia.
At Arrival i was instantly drawn to this Fairlady 260Z in the parking lot which seemed to be in pretty great condition:

As usual at these kind of events in switzerland i wasn’t expecting much love for the japanese cars and most of the guys selling books, parts, diecasts and memorabilia were into British, italian, German and American cars.

But every now and then i found some japanese spares when i was digging into the boxes:

There was even a rotary specialist showing of some stuff at his booth:

But the main reason i was attending the show was to get in touch with various companies doing restoration stuff. I found a lot of interressting companies and talked to a lot of nice guys. Some of them selling Ultrasonic cleaners, others selling car covers and stuff.

This guy was doing real nice car upholstry – like he showed off on this very early Ford:

Most of the booths were selling random signs and memorabilia and old tools. Really like this kind of stuff, but had to keep my money safe. I want to spend my money into the cars and not into decorating my garage 😛

However there where a few cars inside the show as well. most of them for demonstrating various polishing products. But some of them were even for sale and most of them were just interresting to look at 🙂

On the outside they had a mobile checking station from the swiss automotive club where you could bring your car and have it checked (the yellow thing in the background). But i was more interrested in the cars in the parking lot. This immaculate Volvo P1800 S was for sale for a great price. Thank god i don’t have any money 😛

I also found some more modern cars like this renault 5. Just gotta love those sporty hatchbacks 🙂

As you can see i found all kind of cars makes and stuff. Was a nice day and fun to dig through all the boxes and stuff 🙂
