240Z: Mirrors final assembly and recap
After i’ve done the Kakimoto valve cover a while a go and started several things i’m happy to announce i finally completed another (well at least a small) part of the car. The JDM 240Z fender mirrors. This was quite a story. Because it’s quite difficult to find the obsolete long-base mirrors, while the short base Datsun 510 mirrors still are available in new condition. Well i wanted to have it authentic so i went the extra mile for a detail most people probably even wouldn’t notice 🙂 Started with a set of crappy long base mirrors i found on ebay a while ago. ATENZA: Toyo winter tires delivery
Winter is coming soon so i bought set of wintertires which were delivered today. I decided to go for a set of Toyo winterproxes for the stock wheels, because they’re japanese, cheap, good and the Original brand which Mazda uses on the car. Size is 255 / 55 R17 like the works summertires. I’ll go for a set of new summerwheels in next spring 🙂 Now only have to have these swapped on the standard mazda wheels 😉

240Z: White chassis and rear struts sold, drum brake & rear axle disassembly
To make a long story short, it seems like the horrible stressful summer is over for me and i finally have some time to think about private stuff like my cars. ATENZA: Underbody protection
So Winter is coming closer and since i start to have more time again for my car project i decided to first prepare my Mazda for wintertime before i go back to work on my Datsun (Well have some news coming soon :D)… So one big problem of modern mazda’s is Rust on exposed underbody areas and hollowparts of the car, because it seems that’s where mazda seems to save all the money.
