• NEWS: Website updates

Every website needs a bit of maintenance from time to time – including mine. Today i spent a bit of time to simplify and clean up a few things: 1) The sidebar Widget menu on the main page got cleaned up a bit. Due to a system update in the past. Many widgets were not working properly or shown twice. This should have been solved now. 2) Some of the Links in the sidebar menu were obsolete or defunct, so I decided to update the link-list to working and useful ones. 3) instead of using the “For sale” category to browse through various posts of parts for sale, there is…

  • OTHER: Happy holiday season!

Dear readers. as we are approaching christmas and new year, i wanted to sit back for a minute and recap the yet. Car wise the progress was so/so. The major bodywork was finally finished, but is not 100% completed yet. Then i managed to find some parts which i was looking for for long and it seems that now only small bits and pieces are missing. What is now the main bottleneck is to find time to finish the tasks on the car before it goes to final bodywork, paint and then engine rebuild, etc. After all i’ve gained a lot of know-how again this year and learnt a lot…

  • EVENT: S30.World grand opening & platform launch

If you’re an S30 enthusiast, you may have seen some photos on the social media sites or heard it through the grapevine: On the 24.10.2024 – exactly 55 years after the first public presentation of the S30 / Fairlady Z at the Tokyo Motor Show in 1969 – there was the grand opening of S30.world in Buren, Netherlands. Therefore there was a replica of the original Tokyo Motor Show ticket from 1969 given to the guests. But why do i only write about it today? Well there was a reason: Today also the official S30.world platform was released to the public. But more on that in a minute. 1. What…

  • NEWS: New Car related Instagram Account

I’m currently reorganizing a few things social-media wise, and decided to split my Personal and car related stuff. The previous instagram account  @JDMjunkies.ch is from now on only for my private stuff (cooking, photography, etc..) While the new @JDMjunkies.ch_offical is now only about this website and my car projects. I’ll try to rename the old account at some point to avoid confusion, but it seems to be tricky to find a good account name 🙂 Make sure to follow (and or unfollow) the right accounts to stay updated. Going back to regular car related posts soon, once i’ve sorted out all of this 🙂

  • NEWS: JDMjunkies new Business cards & news

I’m currently aligning a few things and as you can see a bigger rebranding is currently going on. After the website and the new loges, the next step was to create business cards. Even though i don’t own my own business anymore, it’s always nice to hand out your contacts to a fellow car guy. And since it’s dirt cheap to get business cards these days, i ordered myself a set: Front and rear Next will be some stickers, but these are a bit more expensive, so im still thinking about it. Step by step. More news soon…

  • NEWS: New JDMjunkies.ch logos are here

I’ve always wanted to create a sort of brand identity for this website. with business cards to hand out at events and stickers to put on the cars. I finnaly put some time into it. so here we go. Let me know what you think 🙂 The one above is a more modern and light handlettering style one. while the below one is a bit more compact  logo type. I’ll use both of them in future, wherever they fit best. BTW: The two J’s  from Jdm Junkies in the logo below resemble a J-turn street 🙂 I might fine-tune them a bit over the next weeks and also plan to…

  • OTHER: seasons greetings

Well, this year has been a strange and a hectic one, but luckily i was able to get deeper back into my car-hobby again. I have some big plans and lots of ideas for next year, but also many duties, so we’ll see how far i come. Nevertheless, i’ll keep you updated. Thanks for still following something outdated, like my blog, and keep coming back to me with inputs and feedbacks. I really appreciate that. I wish you and your closest and families all the very best for christmas and a happy new year. 2021 can only be better, i assume 🙂 Stay safe and enjoy the days off… Cheers…

  • NEWS: New Page design and features are online!

Well, after about 10 years online, i decided it might be time to get the page updated. In general i was fine with the old layout, but decided to add a few small features and tweaks to make it look and feel a bit more modern. The main feature beeing the last five “Knowledge posts” now beeing promoted at the top of the page and a few nice design features. Also there’s a little “Author” feature on the right sidebar and a better social media integration. I hope you enjoy it as much as i did building it. There are still a few flaws and details missing, but i hope…

  • OTHER: Merry Christmas and happy holidays!

So it’s this time of the year again. Time to recap a little bit. Due to other life-projects the progress was a bit slow on my projects this year, but somehow i feel like it’s more of an assembly than rework currently. I have many small bits and pieces restored and ready for final installation. I just need to find the time to get it done. I Hope the bodyshop will be able to get some work done too soon. It’s still a long way to go, but i’m very excited. Nevertheless, I wanted to thank all my readers, followers, fans, haters and all the friends and supports for your…

  • Wallpaper: EK9 at Siblinger Höhe

Finally i managed to complete my photoshop work on a new Wallpaper. This picture was taken about a week ago at an early sundwon at a local hill called “Siblinger höhe”. I just went for a ride and had my camera gear with me and thought there were some nice vibrations in the air so i stopped by a side-track and made some shots. This is what i ended up with after about two hours of photoshopping. To download it full size resolution, head to the Wallpapers section. If you’re interrested in Photoshopping and photography, this is the original picture taken with my cheap Panasonic zoom Camera, before photoshop:
