• TRIP: Grand Tour of Switzerland pt. 3/4 – Schaffhausen – Jaunpass – Col du pillon – Montreux

This is the third installment of our tour through switzerland will show you a different area of switzerland. Rather than continueing through the mountain passes. we decided to go to the “Lake area” of the french speaking part of switzerland which i’ve never really explored before.. Well that was the plan at least. We decided to take the more comfortable wifey’s Mazda 3 (Aka Axela) this time. We took the Autobahn directly to the area of Gruyere, where we wanted to visit the Caillier chocolate factory. Due to COVID-19 only the guestshop was open and the factory tours limited, so we decided to check out some other tourist attractions instead.…

  • TRIP: Grand Tour of Switzerland pt. 2/4 (Zermatt – Grimsel – Brünig – Schaffhausen)

So for Part two of our journey we decided to take a slightly different route home and visit some nice places along the way. After taking the train back from Zermatt to Täsch we re-united with the EK9 and started to drive back through the Valleys direction Furkapass. After meeting these cool moped guys making a similar roadtrip on their Puch’s and Piaggo’s at a local Cheese-shop (I recommend buying some local cheese, which there are shops sprinkled and advertised along the roads) We decided to fuel up before heading back into the Mountain tops… But rather continuing back over the Furka-pass again. We took Another direction halfway up. This…

  • TRIP: Grand Tour of Switzerland Pt1/4 (Schaffhausen – Furka – Zermatt)

Since our original vacation plans in norway got cancelled, we had to re-organize ourselves. Me and my wife decided to visit some places in switzerland that were on our bucket-list, and i conviced her to take the EK9 for the first part and include some mountain-passes which were on the way. She happily agreed. We divided our tour into two parts. the first one was more mountain oriented, the second one more lake-oriented. But the plans for part two changed (read that in a later post). Because of the many pictures i took, i decided to break the story into 4 parts. Welcome to Part one. Schaffhausen to Zermatt. We…

  • EVENT: 11. Annual Japaner old- & Youngtimer treffen Bleienbach 2019

The annual Japanese young and oldtimer meeting in Bleienbach (Switzerland) is still THE event to go if you’re into old japanese cars. I usually don’t promote any events, but this is one of the few rare events i try to attend every year, and since almost all of my car-loving friends are there and it’s organized by some nice people from the scene, i’d really like to support this event. If you’re into japanese classics, see you there 🙂 Check out there website www.Japanclassic.ch and their facebook page for more information.

  • MEET: Japanese Young & Oldtimer meeting Rothrist 2018

Don’t want to say too much. It was a great day at the newly launched meet. Met a lots of old and new friends. had a relaxing time and saw a great mix of Japanese cars from all eras. Even had my EK9 on display without having planned to do so (just wanted to attend as a specator but ended up inside). Would probably have washed the car if i knew 🙂 The race-car display was the icing on the cake and the weather was excellent for all people to bring out their cars before winter inhibition. Hope they will continue with this event next year. Thanks for all who…

  • EVENT: Various cool upcoming events in September

It appears that Car season in switzerland is in full swing now. Aside from the “Bergrennen Oberhallau” in two weeks (the local and beautiful hillclimb), there are a lot of cool events in September which i thought i have to share with you. I usually don’t advertise anything on my website, but these events are just worth a visit and i like to support the hard working people who make these events possible. 1) There is a new Japanese old- and youngtimer meeting this year. I don’t know who organizes it, but i thought it might be worth a try. According to the flyer, cars to 1998 build year are…

  • PLACES: Roadtrip to Sweden and Local Z Owner

So, recently me and my wife made a 4850km Road trip to sweden. Three weeks of driving, our wedding in the middle and then some more driving. Coast to Coast. My daily mazda performed very well, and proved it can handle luggage for three weeks plus a complete wedding Decoration, a box of wine-bottles and camping set nicely. there was even some spare-space 🙂 In sweden you will obviously see a lot of volvo’s some random SAAB’s and everything else, but what always impresses me is the amount of enthusiast cars you see there. it was probably due to the nice weather, but we saw a lot of cool cars…
