240Z: Mirror stuff complete :)
yeah the project has been a bit on hold during christmas holidays, but it seems to get better now 🙂 got some parts today: Yepp – a full NOS Set of brand new Nissan Fender mirrors. they where sold as C10 skyline mirrors but i think they come from a 510 Datsun. Now you might wonder why i bought these? NEWS: New backend installed
So updates on my projects will come again soon. hopefully the postman brings a few new parts tomorrow. seems so 🙂 But untill then i just wanted to inform all my fans and readers about a new backend installed on my blog. so pages should be loaded faster and proper updates on the user-interface well be easier in future. thanks for reading and i’m really hoping for the project to go to the next step soon 🙂

SHOULD I..? Titanium hood rood, Seeker EK9 wing, Do_luck / Alpha bars
It’s been a while since i bought some parts for my EK9 and thought it might need an update as well.. here are some options i like: 1) Seltz Japan Titanium hood rod / Do_luck Japan rear cross bar Ok, the Titanium hood rod was a joke, since i don’t need any hood rod now more, but i like the idea, creativity and looks of it. The do-luck rear cross bar have been on my mind for a while now, but im not sure if it makes any sense or not.. 2) Rigid Alpha Japan stabilizer bars: really like these, but i feel like there are parts with higher priority…

SHOULD I..? Kakimoto Hyper 80-R, HKS Blow-through turbo kit, Sumitomo works MK63 brakes
Yeah, lately i looked through the interweb again and talked to my friend, so im currently thinking about a few ideas: 1) Kakimoto Hyper 80-R exhaust system (combined with my trust 6-2 header :D): I Checked with local law and i will be able to have max 82dB legally here in switzerland. measured on idle at the rpm with most power and 7m distance to the microphone measuring it. Seems like this might be a bit too loud with circa 100dB (but i assume this is under full power). Love the flat black color: Also found this video about a Z that seems to have this system. Nice sound 🙂…

240Z: Brake fluid paint removal doesn’t work
Just a little update: the Brake fluid paint removal trick doesn’t work. soaked stuff over night, but after brushing about 15minutes paint still was there. i think i need something more agressive and wonder why i ever thought this will work great 🙂

Really appreciate that 😀 thanks mate!!! Also i felt a bit sorry for the lack of updates during the last few weeks. So i decided to at least get all done i could do right now: Drop the scews in a bowl full of DOT3 brake fluid. we’ll see tomorrow if paint is gone 🙂

240Z: Project paused due to Christmas :)
“Same procedure every year, James” 🙂 Yeah. It seems like december is the most busy time of the year here. All this gift-shopping, pre-christmas-stuff, end-of-the-year-meetings and Business-dinners. This and the fact my appartement-mate is moving out and i have to get a lot of stuff done as well as i just started at a new job 4 weeks ago keeps me a bit off the project right now, but i try my best to keep it going.
