• FRIENDS: The Swiss JDM Front-End Integra DC2

Swapping out the Dual-circular headlights from the EU-spec DC2 Honda Integra to the JDM-front end is quite common in USA and other parts of the world. But due to regulations in switzerland not many people have done it so far. Alltough i’ve seen a genuine JDM DC2 in switzerland before, i’ve never seen one with a swapped front end. If i had the time and money for another project, this would be very high on my bucket list. Some time ago a buddy i know from my old Honda-days contacted me and sent me a few pics of his 1999 Integra with exactly that front-end swap.:D The car is not…

  • FRIENDS: Revolution Japan delivery for Patrick’s RX-8

Normally i don’t do Imports anymore for people other then me or old friends, but when i was paying shipment for my brakes anyway and got a request from a friends friend, which i also know, i thought why not share the costs and get him the parts? Patrick owns an RX-8 which is currently undergoing some drivetrain upgrades for the occasional trackday. After a few emails back and forth whe came to the conclusion that the parts he was looking for are a nice baffled oil pan and a big capacity Differential cover with additional connectors for optional Oil cooling, beeing capable to handle the extra heat of his…

  • FRIENDS: Various swiss skylines & Datsuns (Edited)

EDIT: In Accordance with the owner of the Hako pics i removed them from my blog and FB page. However if the original owner of t he swiss HAKO likes to get in touch with us, feel free to contact us at any time 🙂 First a Genuine Hakosuka C10 Coupe which was recently imported from Hiroshima, what the reader told me. Not sure if it’s a genuine GT-R Or not (I don’t think so, regarding the prices an S20 equipped car costs these days, even in japan!), but still a beauty! However i think it will take some time until the car is registered and on the road. Anyhow…

  • FRIENDS: Quattro Manufaktur Lancia 037 Group B restauration

Remember a while ago when i visited the guys from QuattroManufaktur in my neighbour village? Yesterday i was buying some groceries and drove by their shop again and then i was please with this: It seems to be A Lancia Martini 037 Group B rallye car. but not sure if it’s a replica or the real deal. the ones you find on the internet look slightly different in the back. but im not a pro on this one.  Acording to their homepage they picked up this car in spain and it’s currently undergoing a full restoration. I think i need to drop by and have a closer look 🙂

  • FRIENDS: René’s S800 roadster and “Watanabe” Coupe and CRX AS update.

Has been a while since i posted an update on these but Rene keeps constantly working on his cars. And more then that he’s doing his work with an incredible level of detail. see below and follow hi’s Facebook blog 🙂 First the Paint on Paint on the White Ex-Yasuhiro Watanabe (Soichiro Honda’s son!) S800 Coupe racecar was stripped and the Bondo removed. Before: During work: Done: I don’t know why but a bodyshell without Paint somehow always looks attractive to me 🙂 But now to the aforementioned detail level: Here you see some pictures that Rene posted about Stickers he replicated. For example the bodycolour tag: Then he created…

  • FRIENDS: Introducing Stev’s 1973 Skyline 240K-GT Yonmeri Project

If there is one guy in the swiss car community that shares the same ideas and ideology like me, then it must be stev. It’s rare to find nice and helpful guys within this small scene and even more rare when they’re likminded too 😀  He’s been super helpful in many occasions and i try to help whenever i can. So when digging through parts at various places in the past he found a lot of old skyline parts. A car which has been sold in switzerland but honestly never was really popular and soon disapeared again. After finding many parts he came up with the idea to buy a…

  • Friends: René’s latest addition: Another S800 with a famous previous owner :)

You’ve read about René’s super nice Honda CRX AS and S800 Roadster restorations on this site befor. However i just wanted to add his latest addition. Mostly because of a pretty famous history 😀 This Car was owned by yasuhiro watanabe …. soichiro honda`s son! So it’s definitly a piece of  honda history. And as far as i know René this will just be another one in the line of top-end restaurations. But now let’s see the pics: I’m pretty sure Rene got all the documents to prove, but the sticker on the rear should be a hint about the prominent previous owner 🙂 Oh at it might look good…

  • FRIENDS: René’s S800 restoration, Part 3

Still no updates on my own cars, but i have some big news coming within the next weeks i hope. Made some phone calls and have some important work to do. You’ll see.. However René pointed out it’s time for another update on his amazing S800 Project. See part one here and Part two here. This is what happened meanwhile: The body was stripped and primered: Then some Factory red came to the body: Tons of small pieces got blasted and recoated in Black: Some more parts are waiting for a plating of some kind (i think zinc plating but not sure yet): And last but not least a vintage…
