EVENT: Japanertreffen x Japanclassic 2026

The annual Japanclassic event was held together with the Japanertreffen this year for the first time. And that with Mixed results. While it’s nic to see more modern cars at the event too, It felt more like “Skyline-fest” or something. Too many modern cars, many of them not very special or rare, with about 20 or so skylines on site during the day. The lack of many classic car owners was a bit sad too. There were definitely a load of nice coars from all eras, but it wasn’t quite the same as the old pure japanclassic used to be.
That said, I met a lot of the usual suspects, had a great time meeting old and new friends and inspecting their fresh builds. The weather was great and so was everybody’s mood.
Overall it was a great day with many nice cars, but with young kids bringing in their cheap rice-boxes (even though this was a minority group) it wasn’t exactly the same as usual. but it was cool to see the two worlds blend together.
