EVENT: Japanese Car meeting 2025

The “Japanese car meeting” is a new event, held in the cool Motorworld at a former plant around Winterthur, Switzerland. The “Open Air Tours” organizers hold a variety of (non-japaense-themed) car events there, and the Japanese is just one of them. But a very cool one, I have to say.

I didn’t really know what to expect. I showed up early, and the queue was quite long already, but once inside it was all still quite calm.
I brought my EK9 to have a last roll-out of the year and got placed in the center somewhere between an MX-5 and some Imprezas:

After that, I started to wander around and the first thing I noticed was this beautiful Mango Corolla on Equip 03’s. And I knew this is going to be a good show 🙂

Shortly thereafter, it got joined by this cool Toyota Pickup and Urs in his beautiful brown Z:

I started to talk to people and while so, the lot quickly started to fill up:

From proper hillclimb cars:

To the usual car clubs.

Everything was there. Including the latest Z, which is now available through grey-imports here:

After all, the mix was quite great.

From the classics

to the 90ies legends

to drift missiles

to the latest

Jakub from Datsun Europe and his wife even made a spontaneous 15h trip to join the fun:

One of the showstoppers was definitely this Hakosuka skyline coupe by 42 racing with Bodywork by Romas at DCW classic:

By early afternoon I had to leave, but the queue was still strong with cool cars rolling in nonstop. I wish i could have stayed longer. So many good old and new friends, great chats and some really nice cars. Too bad I was so busy I couldn’t take more photos.

I really hope they will do this again next year. As said, I was busy meeting people, so not too many photos. But to get an idea, here are some favorites and some random shots, I took during the morning:
