OTHER: RECARO Apparel arrived
Just a real short sunday post: When researching for the Honda EK9 / DC2 Recaro Seats i found that RECARO germany has some cool apparel for sale. So i placed an order, which arrived yesterday: Their stuff has oftentimes the vintage Seats design, like the recaro shirt which resembles the cover of some of their iconic oldschool seats and the socks which uses a similar pattern as on some of their older OEM seats. The stuff also comes in a really nice Cardboard box with a vintage vibe to it. Quality is really high, as you’d expect fom a company like Recaro.

240Z: Datsun Ashtray / Owners manual / 300ZX Press release
So, recently i acquired a bit of random things again and thought i’d share it with you: The first one is a well-used Datsun glass ash tray. You can really see the wear but i like the colouring and the fact that it most probably was an official marketing item of Datsun switzerland, back in the days when smoking was more common than today: The second one is a used Datsun 240Z owners manual: When i got it, i realized i already had such an manual plus a german language reprint from a different year (right side): But on closer inspection, i realized they’re not the same. one is from…

HISTORY: Honda Switzerland 1982-2001 Pricelists (free download)
Lately i had the opportunity to acquire a load of more-or-less rare pricelists from Honda switzerland. If you have a collect-worthy Honda sold in the period of 1985 to 2001 in Switzerland, it’s of course to have the original sales price on hand. For insurance reason, or justfor curiosity. Therefore i decided to scan them all for you in high-res OCR and have them on this site for free download. Click the links below the following picture to download the corresponding pricelist. 1982 June: Honda Switzerland Price 1982.06 www.JDMjunkies.ch 1985 March: Honda Switzerland Price 1985.03 www.JDMjunkies.ch 1986 March: Honda Switzerland Price 1986.03 www.JDMjunkies.ch 1989 March: Honda Switzerland Price 1989.03 www.JDMjunkies.ch…

OTHER: Colin Project Autolook Type A Reproduction seats available
If you’re into vintage classic Japanese Cars, then Colin Project is no new name to you. They’re well known for making many vintage wheels, but also things like the Datsun competition seat replicas and Kei-car stuff. You also might remember that i bought a set of “Autolook Type B” Seats a while ago for my Datsun? (Also click the link to get some information about Autolook seats) If you like the seats, then good news… The “Type A” Seat by Autolook is back by Colin project now! It was shown at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2022 in Japan: From what i can say it looks pretty close to the original…

EK9: Mugen pedal set and Honda Switzerland documents arrived
When browsing the interwebs recently, i found M-tec / Mugen Power actually still makes the Pedal set for the EK9, while most of their other EK-lineup is long discontinued. It might be that they fit a wide range of other Honda’s too and are probably cheaper to manufacture, compared to others. Nevertheless. Today i got a set, straight from Japan, as long as they’re still available: The kit includes a genuine mugen packing, an installation manual, the three pedals for a manual transmission car, and installation hardware. Note that the pedals are not dirty or corroded, but the strange look is because of humidity condensating, because i took the pictures…

240Z: Neko Publishing Fairlady Z I & II Books
Today i finally got the Japanese Neko publishing “Fairlady Volume I” & “Fairlady Volume II” Books. Two super nice hardcover books that come in an additional nice cardboard box each. I’ve seen those books many times but somehow forgot about them until a friend reminded me about them (Shoutout to Florian!), So i had to get them, of course. I have only flipped through them quickly so far, so have to dive deeper into them. It appears that vol 1 has a lot of background information about the development. like below shown the different prototype / development versions: They also feature nice pictures of all variants like the HS30-H G-nose…

EK9 KNOWLEDGE: Honda Recaro L-Modular / SRD / Speed seats
Recently i started to clean and refurbish the OEM seats in my EK9 and thinking about ways to repair the infamously wearing out side bolsters on them. As usual with my projects, it quickly escalated into a full investigation about those seats, collecting old documents and whatnot. So here we go: The original reclinablel Honda EK9 seats are made by Recaro in Germany, and are red with red stitching. In the above picture from the original japanese EK9 Facelift sales brochure, you can read “red RECARO bucket seat” in english at the bottom left. That’s right. the EK9 only ever came in Red Recaros. Except for the EK9 “Rx” (racing…

240Z: Swiss french language brochure in + all brochures
As you might know, switzerland has four official languages. German, French, Italian and Roman. The last one is spoken by a small minority only, so most official documents are available in german, italian and french only. Exactly like many of the early datsun documents, and so the 240Z brochures. Today i finally got hands on a french language version 240Z brochure. It is exactly the same as the german brochure, except texts are in french: What is also interesting is the production date: the french version is from february 1974, while the german version is from may 1972. I also just got a confirmation that a same version was printed…

ATENZA: Small Mazda Option Parts delivery
OK, this are probably not the type of parts you’d expect to see on this page, but recently i got a few small “upgrades” in the form of original Mazda option parts for my daily Mazda 6 / Atenza Station wagon. First of all a parcel net. Nothing crazy, but since i tend to transport bigger packages from time to time, this is great to secure stuff in the trunk without getting into trouble in case of a police check and without having stuff moving around in the back during the drive. Second – well – something as random as an retractable Mazda USB type-C cable. I currently use an…
