Garage, Workshop & House Build,  Uncategorized

HOUSE: The Garage / House / Workshop build finalization (pt. 4)

So, things are wrapping up with the house, approx. 5 Months after moving in, it seems like the big open tasks are finnished. Still a ton of small things to do here and there, but the pace slows down and i find more and more time to finally enjoy our beautiful  home. Just in time for Christmas season. So this also brings me time to give you the final update on the project. If you’ve missed it, check out
part 1, Part 2, Part 3

So what happened after part 3 ended? We moved in… and the gardeners started to complete the surrounding, like the entrance walkway

which continues right into our attached shed:

There i also installed a fully automated watering system:

For all the plants around the house and the lawn. It works absolutely fabulous.

We also got a huge brick-wall on the outisde to gain more space in the garden and have some kind of offset to the surrounding area…

And then we got a fence too. It looks much better now in real life with more plants behind it 🙂

In the backyard, the terrace area got finalized:

and then it was time to plant approx 80 trees and bushes:

The hedge turned out quite nice if you ask me 🙂

This also included removing an old concrete manhole by hand. Which was pretty much a pain in the a**, but well worth the effort.

On the inside i won’t show you the details of our living area, but a lot more happened:
All the heater piping got insulated:

I decided to upgrade the Wiring in progress with some fancy stuff. Like water leakeage sensors in all imprtant areas….

Full Multiroom Audio…

And some Security cameras including full Alarm system etc.. Better be safe, right?

And then, what is most interresting for you guys: The garage / Workshop area.
I refurbished some old Workbenches which were obsolete at my work, with the help of my wife:

And luckily i was able to build a third one from some scrap parts, which is now my soldering / electrical workplace.

I added Internet and electricity to all the important spots:

And a multi-antenna Mesh-system Wifi Network for the whole area:

Then added some soap suspender, mirror and much more to the sanitary area in the workshop:

Started to  hang all the parts that were laying around on the wall, to save some ground space:

And now since the living area and surrounding is mostly completed and christmas lighting is up, its all about sorting the car parts, cleaning up everything and decorting the workshop and garage.

I’m more than happy with how it ended up and while it has been quite the adventurous journey, i learned a lot in process and at the end it was more than a dream come true:
This is how my workshop looks now and i’m more than motivated to crank up the car stuff work here, as soon as the remaining checkboxes on the house-to-do-list are ticked…

And this is how the house ended up. We couldn’t be happier and hope to enjoy many years in this beautiful place…. Thanks for following 🙂
