Garage, Workshop & House Build

HOUSE: The Garage / House / Workshop build progress pt. 2

Currently i’m waiting for car parts from Japan and i don’t have much else to show you, so i thought it might be a good time for a much overdue update on the House / Garage / Workshop build. Here’s part one of you missed it:

After the upper level floor was poured the remaining concrete and brick walls were built.

Then the chimney for the fireplace in the ground level was installed:

Next was the roof construction

And clay tiles. We’re Currently still waiting for the photovoltaic system to be installed on the other side of the roof.

Then a lot of plumbing and electrical wiring had to be done so the walls could be closed again:

Then the windows got installed:

It starts to look like a liveable house now…

The floor got various layers of insulation and moisture-proof foils

And above of that they put the water-hose-loops for the in-floor heating system:

And the last few days the poured the final level of the floor construction (Sub floor).
On this the hardwood and tiles will go on once it’s dry enough (Approx. 10 weeks)

The street got closed again (we had to dig it up to get access to the public water supply system):

On the outside the work to insulate the underground garage roof with waterproof tar-mats and liquid plastic has started too, so once that is finnished it will be covered in soil again and a big part of it will remain unvisible.

And what is probably the most interesting part for you is that the garage got cleaned out a bit (still needs more) and the final Popack LED Light tubes got installed and the power outlets and switches (still only temporary wiring for basic working light only). This makes the garage part look almost finished.

Unfortunately i have to wait until everything is finnished before i can start to move in and install the tools and stuff. but it will be worth the wait 🙂

The pace of the build is currently superfast. Over the next few weeks there are many different things planned, so maybe there’s another big update again soon…
