Welcome to part 8 of 9 of my TAS ’16 Coverage. Today we look at the Toyotas. The first thing we saw when we entered the Halls was this Landcruiser by Specialst Flex: Toyota themselves had a huge display with this Concept car: Subsidiary TRD was celebrating their 40th year, so they had this Aqua TRD Edition (used for ECO-rallye!) on their display The new Prius ZVW50 was also a little Hit at t he show so TRD brought a Souped up street version (left) and a full-on SuperGT version. Today we’re going to look at the more exclusive side of Toyota – Lexus and Crown. I decided to split them from the toyota post because too many pictures 🙂 Lexus has really evolved nicely in  Japan since it’s launch a few years ago and the new F-Sport models seemed to be all the rage at TAS. Aside from the two classic Hako’s and one Kenmary Skyline (which i sadly missed) there were a ton of Newer Gen skylines and GT-R’s. In today’s post we’re going to have a look at the Subarus, Mitsubishis and the Toyobarus. And there were surprising many Subarus. And Unsurprisingly a ton of the BRZ’s and GT-86. But Lets start with Mitsubishi. I only saw three of them, but indeed two of the coolest ones. First Worlds fastest Evo, the incredible Garage G-Force / Voltex Time Attack Monster. Today we’re going to look at the classics from the show als well as old an newer generation fairladies. Honda had a quite big booth compared to other Automakers, but somehow i got the feeling that the real Sportscar-DNA is missing. Of course there were a ton of Racecars, the New S660 Kei-Roadster and the new Civic Type-R and NSX but i still got the feeling that a proper grown-up Everyday sportscar is missing a bit. But that’s maybe just me.. So Let’s start the TAS ’16 Coverage with Mazda. In comparison to Honda, Toyota or Even Nissan, Mazda is a quite small Automaker in Japan. But it definitly ruled the Show this year at TAS. First of all they had the most Enthusiast-minded cars at their booth. Compared to others which had boring concept car of future transportation, Mazda had the real deal Sportscars there.
