EVENT: Tokyo Auto Salon 2016 Part 3 β Honda’s
Honda had a quite big booth compared to other Automakers, but somehow i got the feeling that the real Sportscar-DNA is missing. Of course there were a ton of Racecars, the New S660 Kei-Roadster and the new Civic Type-R and NSX but i still got the feeling that a proper grown-up Everyday sportscar is missing a bit. But that’s maybe just me.. Let’s start with the honda / Mugen booth: The New Civic TypeR drew some attention but it’s still at a concept phase and there was nothing but some simple aero upgrades…
Honda Modulo (A Japanese Accessory subbrand) had some styling bits as well:
They Also had a nice Heritage wall:
Mugen Power was a big Part of the Honda booth and they had two full-sized Racing Simulators on place:
But the “Star” of their Booth was the Mugen S660:
My Favourites from Honda were the McLaren F1 car:
And the New NSX GT-Concept which hints what is coming up in New SuperGT Season π
They also had a niec selection of goodies at their booth but the place was so packed it was hard to walk through it.
In Another Corner there was this SuperGT NSX (the current version):
In the Autobacs Booth they had their ARTA SuperGT300 class CR-Z. What a crazy machine compared to the original CR-Z π
TopFuel Brought out their incredible Time-Attack Monster S2k. Aero seems to get crazier everytime i see it π
J’s racing had also a widebody S2k on Display
Next to their famous Fit/Jazz GT2 car with som Itasha graphics.
Close to their booth was the Osaka JDM stand with a nice oldschool Kanjo racer EF-Civic:
With Racing had a S660 with lots of Carbon on Display:
And blitz had a slightly more radical edition:
PitroadM (famous for their GTO cars) brought a nicely tuned CRZ to the show:
Then their where a few N-One based concepts:
This one sported a real wood grille
And full wood (including gardening tools) Pick-up bed π
On the more “crazy” side was this Accord station wagonΒ
And This Acura Convertible π
I’m sure i missed a few Honda’s but moth of them were small Kei-cars anyway… Tomorrow let’s have a look at the classics π
