EVENT: Japaner young- und Oldtimertreffen, Bleienbach 2015
Yesterday i went to the annual Japaner young- and Oldtimermeeting in Bleienbach, Bern (Switzerland) which this year was held on a little airport. Beautiful weather and nice people made it for a perfect day. This is the event every Japan-classic car lover should attend in switzerland. Pretty laidback vibes and every year the selection of cars seems to be quite different so you never really know what to expect ๐
This year the organizers managed to mobilise the local Honda S-chassis club which was there in full force. Quite a selection ๐
Suprisingly there were a lot of superrare mitsubishis too. Some of them i’ve never seen in the wild before, like this Mitsubishi celeste. what a cool car ๐
Or what about this super-rare mitsubishi galant sapporo coupe?!
As every year the mazda Rotary enthusiats where there in big numbers and this year someone even brought out my personal dreamcar – the Mazda RX-3. Only the second time in my life to see one in real steel. So rare here in switzerland. And this beautifully restored example was almost mint!
Then there were the youngtimers and racecars. This K24 Turbo Hillclimb special by Hondaholics-famous Garage Fuhrer is an absolute Monster. Nice to see some racecars too.
Always fun to meet some friends and See the internet-guys in real life too. here we have Renรฉ’s Crown wagon. Check out his Crown related blog here ๐
The organizers somehow managed to bring some people all the way from belgium to the show. This fairlady From belgium however had a nice SR20 swap inside which would not be possible in switzerland due to local law. well done and nice to see something like this on swiss ground ๐
Naturally a lot of Datsuns show up because they had a big following in switzerland. Here we have Heiko from Datsun.ch‘s personal 240z. One of the best examples in switzerland i guess. And check out the AE86 Notchback behind. Another rarity in switzerland!
My personal hero of the day was whoever brought this absolutely mint Suzuki Alto. This car is such a cheap econobox so why would anyone save it back in the days? But this one almost looked like fresh off the showroom floor. Such a rarity and i hope the’ll keep it like this for many years. Brilliant find ๐
Then there were a few rarities like this MR2 SW20 Convertible.ย I think they were only produced in small numbers and it was the first time i saw one in real life!
Outside the show there were a lot of JDM cars too, like this Skyline which looked and sounded nice.
And then there was this car cruising around outside the show-area. Wow! A genuine BMW M1! Crazy to see such a rare car in real life! Nothing japanese-related but so rare, iย HAD to post it!
After the show i had a special Photoshooting with Manuel from Used4.net and my Honda mate Hannes with his Supernice Genuine JDM DC5 Integra TypeR. Will post some pictures about it in a separate post soon.
What a day! Make sure to check out all the other pics in the gallery below. quite a few more rarities ๐

Ah nice, which one was yours? I remember a black and a red hatchback Levin and a silver Levin notchback. All of them were beauties ๐
