240Z: Steering rack dismantled, Seatrails testfitted
Here we go, finally some updates again π Even if i’m moving my home currently i found some spare time. So i headed to the garage π Wanted to complete the dismantling of my steering rack: Before: A bit later: And done π Made this little picture to remind me in which order which part belongs where π After that i wanted to testfit a set of seatrails i got with the first Chassis when i bought it. They came with a set of 80ies KΓΆnig seats which i sold meanwhile. Looks like the pattern fits the holes which is good because this way i have at least a base…

OTHER: Mazda 6 / Atenza test drive
It’s no secret. I’ve been looking for a new car for a while now. Last i test-drove the GT-86. I loved it but its a bit unpractical for a daily car. So i made a list about things my car should have or be: Japanese, White color available, NICE Sedan or Wagon, No RWD (Snowy winters in switzerland :P), Not older than 3 years, Manual transmission, reasonable price, not too expensive insurance and noΒ hardcore fuel consumption. At the moment i have around for favourites from Lexus (most of them ar Automatic transmission badly), Mazda, Honda and Subaru. Anyway. here’s my first test drive. more will follow this year. Plan…

MEET: HondaHolics EK-Meet 2014
Well some guys from the www.Hondaholics.ch Forum decided to create a small and easy meet for all the EK Hatchack owners today so i decided it was a good oppurtunity to get my lazy-ass out and prepare the EK for summer. Was nice to meet some cool guys, some known faces and some nice EK’s. we even made a little tour. but let’s start in the beginning: First took My EK for a little wash: Because ther is a tuner near the washing-station i always check out their (sometimes pretty bad shaped) cars: This time they had a starion turbo and an evo, as well as an unknown covered car…

EK9: Back from wintersleep and Apex’i Air filter installed
Here we go, long time no see with the EK9. But tomorrow is a little EK-Hatchbacak meet so i decided to remove the cover and dust from the little pocket-rocket and get her out in the sun tomorrow. So that means i needed to get her running first. Which needed a little power from her unlike twin (my daily EJ9): And while at work i decided to change that airfilter to the Apex’i one i had laying around in my basement for a few months now π All done and fine, Camera is packed and hope to get some nice shots for you tomorrow π

FRIENDS: Fred’s Nissan 240RS Group B Rallye cars!
Today a racing driver from germany named Fred emailed me and asked me for a few parts for his Nissan / Datsun 240RS Group B Rallye cars. I was a bit curious and asked for more, so here we go. His FIRST of two 240RS was an ex semi-works-supported Safari rallye car which he found in Kenya and drives at rallyes, check it out here: https://slowlysideways.com/de/cars?id=158&p=1 Now the second one he’s currently restoring is from the Group B era from UK / Ireland, check out the pictures. rare kind of stuff π Think it’s seriously funny that the car once was sponsored by the famous pop/raggea band UB40 π Hope…
