FRIENDS: René’s S800 roadster and “Watanabe” Coupe and CRX AS update.

Has been a while since i posted an update on these but Rene keeps constantly working on his cars. And more then that he’s doing his work with an incredible level of detail. see below and follow hi’s Facebook blog 🙂
First the Paint on Paint on the White Ex-Yasuhiro Watanabe (Soichiro Honda’s son!) S800 Coupe racecar was stripped and the Bondo removed. Before:

I don’t know why but a bodyshell without Paint somehow always looks attractive to me 🙂

But now to the aforementioned detail level: Here you see some pictures that Rene posted about Stickers he replicated. For example the bodycolour tag:

Then he created a stamp (test stamps here) To reproduce the Markings on the Regulator cap:   

And here is the comparison: Above a fresh sandblasted, repainted, stamped and clearcoated regulator cap compared to an old one below. Man I love this level of detail when you think about the fact that most people even wouldn’t notice if this piece was missing or not. I’m happy to bring you more awesome updates when it’s done and this for sure will be a Concours car if this level of detail is kept along. Amelia Island 2020 winner maybe? We’ll see 🙂 

Oh and btw.  his red Roadster has been painted red now (by himself) and assembled again, only a few details to complete:

And then the 1st Gen CRX AS which is also almost completed (only a few very small details i guess). Love the Mugen wheels 🙂
